Dr Tanya Caltabiano, AKA the Boss Dawg, is the illustrious leader of The Foreshore Vet.

Tanya set up The Foreshore Vet in 2021 from scratch. She had a big idea and a vision to provide a veterinary clinic that is different to all the others: providing a place where the staff have a great work – life balance as well as job satisfaction, that provides excellent, patient-centric veterinary care to the pets of the inner south.

The effect of stress in the veterinary workplace is at an all time high, and Tanya has made it her mission to create change.

As well as being the fearless leader, Tanya provides very comprehensive veterinary care and with her charming manner keeps clients and patients impeccably cared for.

Dr Alex Pentecost

Bachelor of Veterinary Science, James Cook University.


Dr. Alex grew up in far North Queensland and then studied at university in Townsville. 

After working in the wilds of Far North Queensland and NSW Alex has discovered Australia’s best kept secret – Canberra - and has chosen to settle down in our cooler climes.
Dr. Alex loves meeting the people and pets in our community, and she also provides a very thorough approach to every problem presented to her. She’s is a skilled surgeon and really loves everything about being a veterinarian.

Dr Bonnie Andrews

Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Bachelor of Veterinary Science, Charles Sturt University.


Bonnie strives for and achieves excellence in everything she applies herself to. Whether it’s rowing, running, equestrian sports or veterinary science she gives it her all.

Bonnie has a very thorough and meticulous approach to every one of her cases ensuring that she gets to the bottom of every problem. No problem is too big or too small. She has also developed a really strong affinity for the care of the substantial contingent of working dogs cared for by The Foreshore Vet.

Dr Tylah Morris

Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours), Charles Sturt University.


Dr Tylah grew up in Newcastle and knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. 

Tylah joined the vet team at the Foreshore Vet team with a head bursting full of information and facts and is excited to be surrounded by veterinarians with so many years of experience. Her smile is hard to miss.

Dr Christine Knight

Bachelor of Animal Science (Honours), University of Reading, United Kingdom. Bachelor of Veterinary Science, University of Bristol, United Kingdom. MRCVS.


Christine graduated in 2013 and has worked across small animal practice, large animal veterinary work, and government veterinary roles.

Christine has a special interest in infectious disease, preventative healthcare, and allergic skin conditions. She enjoys building lasting relationships with pets and their people, and is passionate about helping animals live healthy, happy lives.

Having recently moved to Australia, Christine is excited to continue growing her experience while getting to know the local community. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors and exploring everything Australia has to offer.

Dr Amanda Nott

Bachelor of Veterinary Science, University of Sydney. MANZCVS (Small Animal Surgery).


Retired in early 2025, after 36 years of serving the people and pets of Canberra, Amanda’s legacy lives on within the team at The Foreshore Vet.

Amanda has been a very valuable colleague, business mentor, clinical advisor and friend to Dr Tanya, and she has had a critical role in developing the young vets into competent, confident, skilled veterinarians. She has cherished the role that women have in the veterinary profession. Her passion for brachycephalic welfare also lives on within the team.

Dr Wayne Mizon

Bachelor of Veterinary Science, University of Sydney. MANZCVS (Small Animal Medicine, Feline Medicine).


Wayne retired in early 2026 after a 43-year career in veterinary medicine. He has imparted a wealth of knowledge and experience onto The Foreshore Vet team.

Since moving to Canberra in 2010 to work exclusively in small animal practice, Wayne became particularly respected for his expertise in ultrasonography, feline medicine, and oncology. Beyond clinical practice, he has contributed to the veterinary profession through mentoring, education, and his involvement with distance education programs.

Wayne’s thoughtful approach, clinical insight, and generosity in sharing his knowledge have been invaluable to our team. As he begins this well-earned retirement, we thank him for his outstanding contribution.
